Sheffield Ceramics Festival carries public liability for the fabric of the show but has no jurisdiction over individual stalls.
Therefore, all potters selling direct to the public at Sheffield Ceramics Festival must carry public liability insurance.
No application will be accepted without visual proof of the potter’s public liability insurance, to be shown on entry to the site. Any potential exhibitor without this will be turned away.
All potters are also advised to have their own product insurance as Sheffield Ceramics Festival will accept no liability for any breakages incurred during the festival
Probably the most cost effective way is to subscribe to A N ( Artists Newsletter ), become a member of AIR [ artists interaction and representation ] and get a monthly email newsletter and £5 million public and product liability cover. Cost £36 a year. - www.a-n.co.uk
All the work displayed must be produced by the potter on the stand and whose name is on the application form. The actual maker must be present at all times.
Potters must work with, and be sensitive to, their neighbour's displays on all sides. Care must be taken to secure the stalls to avoid any damage or breakages.
Payment is due in full on applying for a space.
Cancellations up to 30th June 2017 will incur a £25 administration fee, unless, Sheffield Ceramics Festival can re let the stall from the waiting list, whereby the full amount will be refunded.
Cancellation after 30th June 2018 will result in the loss of all monies paid.
Potters who cancel cannot pass their space to a third party, thus by-passing the selection system. There will be a waiting list to honour.
