Kelham Island Museum,

Alma Street

Sheffield

S3 8RY

Kelham Island and the surrounding area is one of Sheffield’s eleven designated quarters. A great deal of regeneration has taken place and many of the old factories and workshops are now cafes, artist studios, houses and apartments surrounded by award winning restaurants and many real ale pubs and micro-breweries.

There is free visitor parking at Kelham Island Museum but it is limited. There are spaces for about 40 cars and there is on street parking. There are however, several carparks within a few minutes’ walk of the museum.

We can’t wait to welcome you. Here you’ll find information on how to get here.

Getting here

By Road
Kelham Island Museum is located on the edge of the city centre on Alma Street, off Corporation Street (A61). You turn onto Alma Street just by the Tesco on the corner.

Sheffield Clean Air Zone
From 27 February 2023 a Clean Air Zone came into effect in Sheffield affecting the most polluting heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), light goods vehicles (LGVs), vans, buses, coaches and taxi’s that drive within the inner ring road and city centre. Find out more at sheffield.gov.uk
